"Double-click won't open existing Word docs" - Office 12.1.1 has the fix

Office 2008 for Mac SP1 prevented documents with some very old file types from opening when you double-click the document or when downloading the document from a Web site. To work around this issue, you could use the File > Open command. Great, but ...

I'm glad you're rapidly fixing the bugs in Office 2008, but the biggest problem I'm having has yet to be addressed: The fact that Office apps take an amazingly long time to open. Word 2008 still takes 30-40 seconds to open on initial launch on my MBP. It's a problem that makes me hesitant to use Office unless I really have to.

Hey!, too.

I 2nd the "Did you fix the .doc.dot renaming issue also?". Explaining this problem to non-computer people is a major hassle where I work.

You still bomb my Console with thousands of messages containing «CGBitmapContextGetData: invalid context»

Nice to have....

It would also be nice if there was feedback from the 2008 icons when launching one of the apps..... Mr T's issues come first though - I pity the fool who's log gets filled with invalid context errors.
