Wide interest in goal seeking
I've suggested that the superb public radio program "Marketplace" do a story about this. Hope they contact Mactopia authors!

goal seek on large data set...or, how to automate?
I have used goal seek (and solver) like this in the past.
My question for you is can it be automated?
For example, I have a dataset that needs to be converted by a cubic relationship such as:
Columm A is the raw data, a simple dataset that has large numbers of rows (~900)
Column B = constant * (A^3 + A)
Column C = target cell
Column D = (C^3 + C)
I need to change C such that D = B
I get goal seek and solver to run great and they both get a value for C1.
My question is, is there a way to automate that for C2-C900?
Thanks,
g
