Powerpoint Mac
Having just installed Office:Mac (2008) and run it on a high end Mac Pro, I can honestly say, does nothing in quality control ever EVER improve at MS? PowerPoint is pitiful. Crashes when you "save as...", takes over 70 seconds to save a file to a windows network over gigabit ethernet. The font handling is about as mature as MS products from 1999. Endless formatting battles where text changes size without asking you. Simply put for all the undeniable upgrades to the look and feel, when is the MS office team actually going to do a proper job of usability design?? This program has seemingly had no bug fixes for over a year, and is a total liability to use (and let's face it, if you're using Powerpoint you're probably doing something dull but importantly corporate, so stressful too).
I would never, ever have installed this if I didn't have to. Entourage is about usable (though I'm having to rebuild the mail database every 2 weeks). But PowerPoint - just pitiful. Does anyone on the MacOffice team actually use it I wonder? Or are you all wisely on Keynote?
Yours at the limits of sanity using this unshippable product.

Where art thou!
So here we are, March 2010, messenger messenger come out to play.
or not?
Those darn codes we've been hearing about since 2007, 3 years to implement A/V.
yeah these things do take time. they do. oh well. maybe my kid will use a messenger that's user friendly.
just by the way, A/V is a very important feature, but offline messages and speed in signing in and it shouldnt take 5 hours before someone gets blocked. dont know. it's not about the A/V anymore, it's about a messenger that looks and feels more like msn for windows 9, not msn for windows 1.
that's all i'm saying.
but i love you anyway.
