Stopping Automatic launch on startup

Version: 2008

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Processor: Intel

How do I stop Office automatically launching on startup. We have two accounts on an IMac one account does it but the other does not. There are no files in the system start folder so I am at a loss. It triples the startup time of the machine as excel, word, powerpoint and Entourage all launch.
